Japan 2nd week- Tip for the traveller

If you have a maestro or cirrus bank card its very hard to use, if not impossible, at a regular Japanese bank. I spent 1/2 a day trying my card at different banks. The only certified bank where my card was accepted was Citibank, but there are only 2 branches as far as I could tell in Tokyo and currently I’m in Kofu and there are zero Citibank branches here, so what to do……..well look no further then your local 7-Eleven!! Yes it accepts nearly all cards types and they are everywhere, its amazing. The only downside is the international money transfer fee which is about 2000Yen!! But if you take out enough its not so painful.
